[D] After a lovely night at the ball with Hanna, Marcus sat at his desk going through staffing and inventory for the next mission. With the way the Eventide got banged up, he wanted to make sure he had extra supplies.

The door chimed.

Marcus looked up, wondering who it could be. "Come in."

The door slid open and in stepped a civilian, wearing a courier uniform. Behind him was a hovercart with various parcels in it, some with and without festive wrapping paper. "Quickwind Delivery Services, got your Secret Santa for you, sir." The courier said with a polite smile. He had a cubic box wrapped in white paper with a blue ribbon in his hands, which was swiftly presented before Marcus for the CMO to take. It was quite heavy for its relatively small size.

Marcus stood and took the box from the courier. "Thank you very much! Must be a busy time for you Mr..."

"Gnraot. You're actually my first stop, but I've got quite a few more to deliver today, so I should probably get going. Enjoy!" He said with a slightly bigger smile, before turning and leaving.

Marcus gave the man a wave and once he left, he'd tear the wrapping off and open the box.

[D] Inside were 4 books named "The Evolution of Medical Sciences" parts 1 through 3, each book containing info about the medical advanced for each century. And with that a book about Theoretical Medical Sciences; things that people are working on, theories about the possibilities, all kinds of things. With it came a small envelope with a letter inside which said the following: "After so much time in service, you deserve to sit back, relax and have some you-time. And you seem like someone who likes reading, so why not grab a cup of tea, sit back and do just that? Enjoy! -Samta"

Marcus ran his hands over the cover of each book. A smile broke out over his face as he opened the first cover and touched the page. He smiled even wider as he turned the first page, and began to read.
